The zipper should be opened and closed rather than merely viewed.

If several pieces become difficult at the same corner, compare the sewing there. The cause may be excessive seam thickness, inconsistent alignment, or pressure from nearby foam.

If several sliders separate behind the same section, compare the chain and tape installation before replacing hardware.

Main compartments should receive more attention than small decorative pockets because a failure there can make the entire backpack difficult to use.
