The first may suit waxed canvas.

The second may be better served by a treated or PU-backed material with a protected zipper and lining.

That is the main difference between simply ordering a canvas bag and developing one properly: the material, construction, waterproof treatment, branding, testing, and quantity are considered together before production begins.
